Happy to report that after 2 years of having this cat tree collect dust in the corner my cat has finally started using it. She’s scratched at the rope on many occasions though and it’s still intact, so the tree appears to be well made. A big plus is that this tree/scratcher is aesthetically pleasing and not an eye sore like most. The top part, however, is on the smaller side and might be challenging for bigger cats to stuff themselves into. My cat has finally come around to it, but this would be ideal for kittens. My tuxedo sleeps in the top basket every day! And it’s a very attractive design. The lower profile blends well in a living space.Did they put catnip on this before sending it? Seriously... When I first get something like this for my cats it takes a bit for them to sniff and warm up to it but I couldn't get them to leave it alone before I even had it put together!I do wish they would make taller ones in this style because it's the only one I've found that fits the aesthetic of my house and my living room needs one like this instead of the ugly one I have!I have a 8 pound cat, and it's perfect for her. My 10 pound cat however, thinks she is smaller than she is. I have this in a corner so it's not a huge deal for me. However it is not as sturdy as it could be. When my 10 pound cat (she is considered healthy from the vet. She is a calico so she is a bigger breed) it will hit the wall because it almost falls over.Overall I think it's holding up pretty well. The value is the only thing I gave less than 5 stars. I feel like because of the style it is way over priced. I can get cat towers 3x the size for 1/2 the price on chewy, they just aren't as cute.Sturdy. Perfect above and below for two cats.I've had this cat post for over half a year now and here is my opinion based on daily use with one cat:I like this cat tree because it isn't ugly.My cat is a fluffy 11 lbs and she fully fills up the top of the perch when she lays in it. She doesn't overflow, and she seems very comfortable, but I wouldn't recommend this for a larger cat unless they like to overflow their laying spots. The top pillow is just laid in the basket so it can be removed to be spot-washed in a sink. I've personally been using my cat's brush to brush the fur off of the pillow and that works quickly and cleans it up well. The carpet on the inside bottom portion is not removable so if kitty pukes in there you are reaching in to clean up that mess. Why, yes, I did get to try that activity out myself. The cat was unimpressed. My cat scratches the rope column regularly and it is showing only minimal signs of wear.As far as the woven paper construction, if I had a kitty that gnawed on things or scratched at it a lot, I'm not sure how long the paper weaving would last. It's good quality workmanship and very sturdy, but paper is still paper, so keep that in mind when thinking about your cat's personal habits. The base is sturdy and seems like it would take some work to tip over. I mean, not for me, but for the cat. I could probably tip it over pretty easily but then I'd have to pick it back up so you'll have to just suppose on that one with me.Also, it did not smell bad or like chemicals at all when it arrived, which my cat and I both appreciated immensely. Not having to set it outside for a week to air out was definitely a bonus.Overall, this is probably my favorite cat tree that I've ever purchased. It genuinely looks nice and the cat enjoys it. 10/10 for us!My cat absolutely loves this small tower. Fits great beside the window and bed. The only down side is that my cat tends to scratch and bite the beds instead of the scratching post.Luna loves it and I do too as she is not scratching any furniture. She thinks the hanging feathers are great. Has lots of fun and I have lots of fun watching her.I have a cat named Burney. And for several years I put a cardboard box that was window sill height at one of my dining room windows so he could look out and see the birds at my bird feeder. He would sit up there often enjoying the view so I just left it there but the box had gotten kind of dilapidated looking. When I saw this and the measurements, I thought it was the perfect height, and what a nice looking pedestal it was. So I bought it, got rid of the old box, and put it beneath the window sill. I picked him up placed him there once myself in the beginning and he took to it right away. At the same time it looks nice and attractive in my dining room, I love seeing him laying up there either basking in the sunlight, napping, or enjoying watching the birds outside.........
